Trigger Warning: miscarriage “Do you feel guilty?”It was the first time I’ve ever been asked about mum guilt. I’d just lost my first baby and the therapist on Zoom just asked me in her soft, Lancashire accent. “No,” I answered honestly and logically. I knew that there was nothing I could have done that would have changed things, but that didn’t make the grief easier to swallow. But a year on, when I was processing my second miscarriage my husband and I did talk about whether stress could have contributed to it. I had a lot on with the business I was running and was also trying to support my brother through his darkness. Could it have been my fault?
